| Customer Reviews: Lady GaGa Delivers August 19, 2010 Lady Di I love this CD, it is all good to listen and drive to. I cannot wait for more of the same.
Wonderful Acquisition! August 12, 2010 Anderson (yjyjyj, jy Brazil) Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.ca/review/R12ND3I2F8JKQG The quality of the physical product is just amazing! Nowadays, with the mp3 and all, the people don't use to buy CDs anymore, but in this case, this is a collectible item, artistic one. Lady GaGa's songs everybody knows, and most of like it... But I tell you, the physical one, in this case, worth every cent. Imported from england, and the british people handle a CD with perfection!
***THIS IS CENSORED*** May 30, 2010 Leif Asgeirsson ***THIS ALBUM IS CENSORED*** The vocal track skips whenever there's a swear word. There is apparently no uncensored version.
Lady Gaga pushes forward with positive results. May 20, 2010 Steph Feeney (The Shwa, Canada) "The Fame Monster" album was written and recorded while Lady Gaga was traveling around the world, and it was during this time Lady Gaga said she had encountered many different 'monsters' - whether it be sex, alcohol, or loneliness. Lady Gaga drew inspiration from many different artists and combined them all into one album, and truthfully, it paid off.
I think the only real bummer about this album is, is that it was released censored and all versions of the album were released censored. Considering Lady Gaga is someone who likes to push the envelope, and comes off as someone against censorship makes the move of censoring her music a joke. I read somewhere Lady Gaga got into a bit of a spat with her record label over the censoring. However, I don't think that's a reason to dock the album some stars as the music itself is still amazing.
"Bad Romance" is a killer first single. I remember when I first heard it, it was right then and there that I knew Lady Gaga was a force to be reckoned with and that she was here to stay. "Alejandro" mixes Ace of Base and ABBA influences and it sounds incredible. I'm a bit of an ABBA fan so it's interesting to hear Lady Gaga mix something from a group that was popular in the 1970s and into the 1980s with a group that was fairly popular in the 1990s is fascinating. "Monster" is an absolute killer track, and it's very dark compared to anything Lady Gaga had done previously.
"Speechless" was written and dedicated to her father. In the linear notes of "The Fame Monster", Lady Gaga thanks her father for 'protecting her from monsters' and I think that's very cute. I remember reading that and just smiling. I can't say how sweet of a person Lady Gaga sounds. Beautiful ballad that mixes a lot of Queen and David Bowie influences.
"Dance In The Dark" is a dark europop/disco track that features some influences from Madonna's song 'Vogue' and 'Send Me An Angel' by The Scorpions I believe.
"Telephone" is an good pop song but I don't think it's the best song on the album. The song is great up until Beyonce's solo. Beyonce's solo brings this track down and takes away from the effectiveness of 'Telephone' as a great pop song. "So Happy I Could Die" is a wonderful song.
"Teeth" reminds me a lot of something featured on Christina Aguilera's 'Back To Basics' album. I listen to that song and I hear the gospel stomper of 'Makes Me Wanna Pray' blended with something you'd find on Madonna's 'Erotica' album.
Of course, like some of the albums I have reviewed before, I have to give big credit to Megan for adding this amazing album to my CD collection. Thank you Megan! :-) always appreciated.
not at all crap, like i was lead to think March 4, 2010 ? Fame Monster By: Lady Gaga
guilty pleasure number two. my 12 year old son convinced me to buy this cd. normally i'm not a big fan of this type of commercialized music but i gave it a shot. i bought the double album that contains both her cds together.it was a good deal at 14$. anyway to my surprise, it was not filled with crap music, a good selection of dance/tecno that i expected but also some funk and soul. i don't think i could listen to it all day but it's good to get one moving. there are a few songs i will omit from my sons copy because of sexual content but that is my choice. check out guilty pleasure number two.
