| Customer Reviews: Love the songs, hate the mastering! August 26, 2010 Lloyd G. Smith (nova scotia) Bought this DIX ED on a whim as I'm new to the Glee show and cast. There are some very strong voices here and the songs are fun but am I the only one that has noticed this cd is recorded so loudly there is No dynamic range and the vocals are recorded well into distortion. Perhaps this was mastered strictly for MP3 because the sound quality lets what would be otherwise a superb issue, down. Friends who have listened to it with me all shuttered at the production. SO be forwarned. It your copy makes you happy on playback, terrific. It is superb singing and done with infectious joy. But maybe the dvd will offer the sound quality of production these voices deserve. Songs and singing this group has it in spades. Production, however is a limiting factor here. IT deserves much better effort. Do the producers actually listen to the finished product? Makes me wonder....cheers, lloyd
Glee-fully purchased! August 10, 2010 EmpressTea Definitely a worthwhile buy. I was glad to see they included Neil Patrick Harris & Matthew Morrison's version of 'Dream On' in this soundtrack. Also loved the updated version of ONJ's 'Physical', one of my fave singers as a kid.

Glee Showstoppers Deluxe Edition is amazing...can't help singing (& dancing along) with the Gleek's. A must have for all diehard GLEEKS!
Glee Is Stupid June 14, 2010 Kyle Rogers (Ottawa, ON Canada) 0 out of 12 found this review helpful
These are cheesy remakes of songs. Some of the originals were good, other were bad. These versions just suck, and Glee is a bad show.
You like the show ? You'll LOVE the music ! June 3, 2010 Frederic White (Montreal, QC.) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
If you are amongst the ever growing fans of the show "Glee" then you are very familiar with the track listing upon this latest release.
Should you be living in a cave and are curious as to the frenzy surrounding the pop phenomena that is "Glee" then this CD will musically provide with insight into the reason behind the frenzy.
One of the numerous highlights upon this fourth release in the Glee series are the tracks performed by Broadway's Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel (from Broadway's "Wicked").
Adult fans over the age of 30 will appreciate a rejuvenated remake of the 80s monster hit - "Physical" featuring Olivia Newton-John and Jane Lynch (Sue).
The musical producers of Glee know how to reinvent tired pop standards - a perfect example is their take on Bonnie Tyler's standard 80s hit "Total Eclipse of The Heart". Having shared the lead vocals between two vocalists, Lea Michele and Corey Monteith, is inspiring and enables the song to take on a new dimension and no longer sound as dated.
On this release - the cast of Glee insert material from all musical spectrums that gloss over several decades.
There are classic tracks from the Burt Bacharach 60s musical catalogue to rock (U2, Kiss and Aerosmith) with a dash of 80s new wave (Men without Hats) to classic standards from Broadway.
Once again the stand out vocalists amongst the cast remain; Amber Riley, Matthew Morrison and the infamous "Lea Michele".
