From Amazon.com Even as Disney has reveled in the success of its high-end animated features, it occasionally sneaks a lesser effort into theaters, based on one of the many TV shows with which it dominates daytime TV. This one is based on perennial Disney favorite Goofy's adventures in domesticated bliss. Goofy is now a single dad; when son Max gets blamed for a prank gone wrong at school, Goofy blames himself and decides that, for his vacation, he's going to get away with Max alone. Of course, this is no treat for Max, who has just met the girl of his dreams and harbors no wish to spend the summer touring America with his square dad. The vacation is one disaster after another, though they aren't particularly funny disasters; the culmination involves Goofy's efforts to get Max backstage at a big rock concert. Strictly for young fans of the TV show. --Marshall Fine

I think I love it more than my kids do!! February 12, 2005 snuggybrinks (Canada) I think that I love this movie more than my kids do!! I find myself singing along with the songs, and The story is very heartwarming. I relate to poor Max and his exasperation at some of his father's goofiness...I remember the days when I was mortified to be seen in public with my Parents!! I loved it so much I went out and got the sequel "An extremely Goofy movie" and I was so sad to see that it did not live up to the original...no catchy music!! The music in the first one is the best part!! I was very dissapointed. You will love this movie not only for the Music, but also for the lessons that it teaches your children about family. I have found a favorite for a lifetime!!
best movie ever November 3, 2004 Jan J Matavovsky (Pickering, Ontario Canada) all i can say is that this is the best movie ever and every time i watch it the movie gets better and better. u never lose interest and never get bored watching this film one of the best purchases i have ever made.
A great movie! July 17, 2004 This came out two years before my 1st daughter's birth. Four years later when she was old enough, my sister gave it to me with a load of other videos. This has always been her favorite, and now her other brothers and sisters love it too. It teaches a good message about father and son. My favorite party is the music, which I have on my computer and play for my kids all the time! Our favorite is the Powerline song and "Nobody Else but you" . If you love Goofy, or just are a movie fan, this is a great movie to buy.
Not one of my favorites, but still nice for younger children May 9, 2004 After first sitting through this movie with my elder sister, I wondered how she managed to rope me into it. I was tired, groaning inwardly, and vowing to avoid this movie at all costs. Why three stars then, if it was such a brain killer? Because, for children around 8-13, and the occasional person such as my dear sister, it was a smash hit that would be remembered for years, or at least for a week. The Goofy antics, and a star cameo by none other than Bigfoot, had her rolling in stiches of laughter even while I was just rolling my eyes. Goofy stays in clutzy form with the extra trouble of single dadhood, while Max is the stereotypical "selfish only child" for a good part of the movie. However, there are a few characters I have to sheepishly admit liking, no matter how... colorful they where. As a Father-Son bonding movie, with memorable characters, and crazy antics it's so-so for adults but great for children.
iiiiiiiiiit's BIIIIIIIIG FOOOOOOOOOT!!!!! March 26, 2004 I first saw this when I was in 5th grade(around the time that this came out), and must have watched it about 3 million times during that year... and guuuueeees whaaaaat? 10 years later, at age 20,, I STILL LOVE IT! It has a good story that I bet everyone once related too sometime in high school... plus the songs, while corny, are very catchy(i love the "Open Road" song), and the "Big Foot" scene is hillarious :)This is a great 90s classic, and a true memory of back when Disney actually made GOOD stuff [...]
