love it!! June 26, 2004 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I love this tape and I love Richard. I am not a beginner at all when it comes to excercise but I always go to his aerobic tapes to get my heart pumping. He keeps me motivated, feeling good, and its fun! This is easy to learn and a tape I do at least 5 times a week with intervals of weight lifting. I wish more exercise instructors were like RIchard! Could the reviewer from Littleton, MA who was SO OFFENDED by the tape please learn to spell?
Richard's the bomb! March 28, 2004 Brattons (Kentucky) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I used this tape to get me in shape, and within a few weeks, my clothes were already considerably looser. (I didn't own a scale and didn't measure myself, but it was pretty drastic.) At the time, I was merely exercising, not cutting down on my food intake. Also, while it took a few times to get the "moves" down correctly, it wasn't hard to learn at all. I particularly enjoyed the variety of music and "dance" steps. I found two things especially helpful. For one, I watched people a lot more overweight than I managing to get through this tape, so they inspired me to finish the work out. And as with any Richard Simmons' workout, his genuine respect for overweight folks made me feel great about myself, especially when you consider very few exercise tapes actually feature overweight and out-of-shape people. My only complaint is that he hasn't produced this for DVD player use.

Richard Simmons & FUN FUN FUN!!!! December 21, 2003 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Richard got me hooked with this one!! The tunes were perfect for a perfect exercise session; the music was really enjoyable. Oh, come on, so he shouts w/joy - personally the whole vibrancy of the entire event keep me so busy, and trying to keep up with the step changes, that when I would think "oh, I'll stop and rest now", the pace was clicking along and another move began - & it didn't seem necessary to quit! His strategy is to help everyone possible, and this was enough fun to get me to pull out the "Never Say Diet" book from the 80's by Simmons and perform the 5 minute am. & 5 min. pm. stretches to the music as well, making for a great overall program. It was his enthusiasm that made me actually look forward to the music & the fun - try it - you can't fail with this one!!!!!!!!!!
This is a fun way to get a workout July 23, 2003 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I read a previous review and agree with all major points: 1. This is for someone who has some experience with aerobics. I was able to pick up the moves on Richard Simmons' Disco Sweat tape the first time I viewed it, for instance; this one takes longer and is therefore more of a challenge without requiring that you be a professional dancer. 2. The music is excellent, and there is very little of the shouting associated with Richard Simmons' workout videos. 3. You get to see lots of different types of people working out including some that are overweight. This is true of all Richard Simmons' workout videos. But this one also has some thin people who are able to do the moves correctly. 4. This is not a demanding workout at all; it's something to do on a rainy day when you can't go outside. It's a lot of fun, though, which means you will actually do the workout even if you are shut up indoors.
